Switching to WordPress

From CMS to Blog engine

Well, I’ve just finished the switch over from Joomla to WordPress and it all went reasonably smoothly. For some reason uploading the site from my local machine to server killed the xmlrpc.php file, meaning that Windows Live Writer couldn’t connect to the blog. Sledge hammer workaround: deleted all the files from the server and ran a Fantastico install of WordPress and uploaded my config file – all is now warm and cuddly.

We’ll can the design V1.5 – I think it’s heading the way I want it to go but is a long way from finished.

Have to say though, theming in WordPress is a joy compared to Joomla.
