From CMS to Blog engine
After deciding which way I wanted to take odd: and restructuring the web site to match it was obvious I did not need the complexity of a fully blown CMS. Wordpress seemed like the best choice.

EverSave for OS X
You should be saving your work on a regular basis in case of crashes, but for those who forget to cmd+s like clockwork EverSave seems like a great idea.
